Scout, Operator, and Overlord — the three Rust Pulse subscription tiers and what each one unlocks.

Rust Pulse has three tiers. They unlock progressively more — everyone gets the in-game commands and the dashboard; premium-only features (overlay, player intel, always-online) live in Operator and above.

How billing works

  • Stripe Checkout for upgrades. Stripe Customer Portal for management.
  • Webhooks keep the API in sync with subscription status.
  • Cancelled subs stay active until currentPeriodEnd, then drop to Scout.
  • Refunds are issued by admins through the local admin portal.

Beta-tester slots

The team can grant any tier directly — no Stripe charge — by adding a Steam ID to the beta testers list in the admin. Useful for content creators, server-owner partnerships, and people who help us hunt bugs.

A beta entry has:

  • Steam ID — who gets the comp tier.
  • Tier — one of Scout / Operator / Overlord.
  • Note — private to admins (e.g. “YouTube partner, 3-month trial”).
  • Expires at — optional cutoff date.

If both a Stripe sub and a beta entry exist, the Stripe sub wins (so a paying user doesn't get downgraded).

Guest access

A subscriber's teammates can use the dashboard, overlay, and Discord alerts without paying themselves — the host's subscription covers them. Each tier sets a maximum guest count per paired server (see the table above). Guests are added via the dashboard's Guests tab and either claim their slot manually or are auto-added from the in-game team roster.

See Guests for the full flow.
